How a Firewall Protects Your Network
Firewalls act as sophisticated security shields that scrutinize network packets to prevent unauthorized users or harmful data from entering or exiting your network. They also enforce your security policies, blocking applications or data deemed unnecessary or dangerous and stopping threats like malware, phishing, denial-of-service attacks, and viruses.
Firewall rules define the conditions under which traffic enters or leaves your network based on specific criteria such as source and destination IP addresses, ports, communication protocols, and more.
