The cybersecurity landscape is constantly evolving. Thousands of new vulnerabilities are reported each year, and attackers continue to find new ways to exploit the internet. Attackers target organizations of all sizes, from large corporations to small businesses. They steal sensitive information, disrupt operations and cause financial loss. In some cases, attacks can even threaten life itself as evidenced by the global ransomware outbreak known as Dridex in 2014.

Students who graduate with a cybersecurity degree often choose to pursue an advanced master’s in computer and information technology. This accelerated option allows you to count up to 6 credits toward both your BS and your MS, helping you complete your degree in one additional year of study.
