Perplexity’s Agentic AI Browser Hijacked to Steal Data

A sneaky prompt injection attack that hid inside a seemingly innocuous link can turn an AI browser into a stealthy co-pilot that quietly siphons data, including from connected services, researchers say. The attack, named CometJacking, exploits the agents built into the Perplexity agentic AI browser Comet by embedding malicious prompts.

Information Stealer Detour Dog Now Has New Weapons

A threat actor dubbed Detour Dog is now advertising new tools for an information-stealing malware family called Rhadamanthys, Check Point researchers say. The flagship tool has been repackaged to be sold under the malware-as-a-service model alongside other popular stealers like Lumma, Vidar, and StealC.
