As more work is done digitally, it’s important to secure the data and systems that enable this work. This requires strengthening network and device access controls, ensuring only authorized users can log in and that they’re tracked when they do so through strong identity access management. It’s also essential to implement safeguards that protect against eavesdropping and theft of devices and data.

Gone are the days of the “hacker” in a hoodie working alone in an isolated room; now, hacking is a multibillion-dollar industry complete with institutional hierarchies and R&D budgets. Attacks are also getting faster and more complex. Tools like artificial intelligence, automation, and machine learning are cutting the end-to-end attack life cycle from weeks to days or hours.
