Cyber-security is the protection of computers, data networks, and electronic communications systems. It involves preventive measures like password protection, firewalls and anti-virus software as well as detection and response to cyberattacks. It’s increasingly a vital concern, with data breaches occurring more frequently and costing companies millions in lost revenue, reputational damage, operational downtime and regulatory fines.
As attackers evolve their tactics, defenses must also grow more sophisticated.
